<p>WEST HARLEM FOUNDATION DEBATE INVITATIONAL! </p> <!–more–><div> <o:p></o:p> </div> <div></div> <div> HARLEM CELEBRATES FIRST MIDDLE SCHOOL AND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DEBATE TOURNAMENT OF THE YEAR! <o:p></o:p> </div> <div></div> <div> Over 65+ teams and 180+ debaters competed last weekend at the The West Harlem Debate Invitation for Middle School Parliamentary and Elementary Debates @ PS 161 last weekend. <span style=mso-spacerun: yes;”> </span>There were three debate topics for the day: (1) The house should NOT ban cell phones in NYC schools; (2) The house believes adults should have the right to carry a concealed handgun; (3) The house believes that artistic expression should never be censored. <o:p></o:p> </div> <div></div> <div> Congratulations to the Anderson School for winning top advanced parliamentary debate division and Success Academy East for winning the beginner parliamentary debate division.
