Thanks to a generous grant from the West Harlem Development Corporation (WHDC) we are excited to officially welcome District 6 to our growing district programming—our first district partnership in Manhattan, serving students in Harlem, Washington Heights, Inwood, and Hamilton Heights.
Last month, 12 new coaches joined us at the NYCUDL office to kick off the partnership and begin training to launch debate teams at their schools, preparing for their first tournament featuring elementary and middle school divisions in both English and Spanish. We can’t wait to bring the transformative power of debate to District 6!
