NYCUDL ON NATIONAL CIRCUIT STREAK!!!!!

Last weekend the NYCUDL won big at Harvard! Broke four teams into the elimination rounds and took 2nd place overall. This weekend the NYCUDL continued its streak at the Westchester Classic Debate Tournament – another national circuit debate tournament where the top teams win bids to the Tournament of Champions. Not one school, not two schools, not three schools, but again four schools from the NYCUDL broke into elimination rounds. The Institute for Collaborative Education dominated the middle school division. The Bronx School for Law, Government and Justice, ACORN Community High School and Brooklyn Tech broke into the Varsity Division. And Bronx Law, Brooklyn Tech, and the Institute for Collaborative Education broke into the Novice Division. In the middle school division, the Institute for Collaborative Education defeated top private school programs where students pay thousands of dollars in tuition and went all the way to the Semi-Finals. In the high school division, Brooklyn Tech went all the way to the Final Rounds…. again!!!! In the high school varsity division, Brooklyn Tech, ACORN and Bronx Law qualified teams to the top elimination rounds. Bronx Law’s two teams advanced to the octofinals round, but narrowly dropped there. Congratulations to all NYCUDL teams for participating!
<!–more–><div style=font: 12.0px Helvetica; margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px;”> <span style=”letter-spacing: 0px;”>NOVICE TOP SPEAKER AWARDS
<div style=”font: 12.0px Helvetica; margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px;”> <span style=”letter-spacing: 0px;”>2nd Place – Alex Viner
