Goodbye Summer!
This year, we welcomed over 100 middle and high school students to two spirited camp sessions at our offices. Students explored foundational argumentation techniques, sharpened their advanced casework, and tackled the topic of whether public subsidies for sports stadiums are justified. Each day of the high school session concluded with a bonus “Power Hour” for students to level up their skills and get a head start on next season’s competition. Our debate topic came to life for both sessions with a field trip to a Staten Island FerryHawks game, giving students the unique chance to connect policy to practice. Both sessions concluded with a lively tournament, judged by generous attorneys and Summer Associates from Latham & Watkins and accompanied by our signature plate awards and ice cream sundae bar. It was an incredible summer, and we can’t wait for next year!
